Rules and Regulations

To ensure safe, smooth and efficient services to the users, the college library requires visitors tof ollow these rules:

  1. Only registered students, faculty, and staff are permitted to use the library.
  2. Students must carry a valid college ID for borrowing books.
  3. CONDITION OF THE BOOK: – Check the book for damage when you receive it and reporta ny issues to the library staff.
  4. RETURNING BOOKS: – Books must be returned within 15 days from the date of issue.
  5. FINES: – There will be fine for overdue of books @ Re 1/day after the due date to allu sers.
  6. PERSONAL BELONGINGS: – Personal bags and non-essential items must be stored ine designated areas. Only notebooks, laptops, and study materials are permitted inside the library.
  7. REPLACEMENT: – Users must replace or compensate for any lost or damaged books in accordance with library policies.
  8. PUNISHMENT: – Mutilation and theft of library materials are offences punishable by law. Appropriate action will be taken by the Library against offenders.
  9. Silence and discipline should be maintained inside the library. Mobile phones should be set to silent mode; phone calls are not allowed in the library.
  10. Laptops and smart phones may be used for study purposes only. Headphones must be worn when using devices for audio-visual purposes.
  11. Periodicals, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and other reference materials are available for in-library use only and cannot be checked out.
  12. Respectful behaviour towards library staff and fellow patrons is expected.
  13. Smoking, eating, sleeping, and loud conversation is strictly prohibited. Only water bottles are allowed; other food and beverages are not permitted.
  14. The library is not responsible for personal items left unattended. Patrons are encouraged to keep valuables secure.
  15. Library books and documents must be treated with honour, so that it is prohibited to underline, write notes or pull out pages there from.
  16. The library staff has the right to ask users to leave the library if they are causing a disturbance.
  17. The library staff has the right to ask a non-member to leave the library.
  18. Library Hours: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on all working days.
  19. The library will remain closed on all public holidays. All users must prepare to leave the Library ten minutes before closing time and to be out of the building by closing time. Books issued for reading only may be borrowed until ten minutes before closing time.

Note: – The users can convey their grievance regarding any issue related to the library, verbally or in written form to the Librarian or any Library Staff.
