Objectives & Duties of IQAC

OBJECTIVES OF IQAC: 

  1. To fulfil Vision and Mission of the college in the light of its quality policy.
  2. To develop system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action for sustaining the academic and administrative performance of every department.
  3. To promote measures for functioning of entire institute towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and implementation of best practices.
  4. To assure all stake holders the accountability of the college for its own quality.
  5. To device and ensure procedures and mechanisms to maintain quality in all the operational aspects of the system- teaching- learning evaluation process.
  6. Measuring the outcome of academic performance of the college.
  7. Developing the realistic and attainable quality benchmarks for each of the academic and administrative activity through plan of action, internal assessment, workshops.

STRATEGIES OF IQAC:

The IQAC cell of GDC Uri shall evolve the mechanisms and measures for;
  1. Ensuring the timely, well-organized and progressive performance of the academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  2. Transparency in admission process.
  3. Comprehensive implementation of academic research programs.
  4. Equal access to and affordability of academic programs o various sections of the society.
  5. Optimization and integration of modern tools of teaching and learning.
  6. Transparency and credibility in evaluation process.
  7. Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.

FUNCTIONS OF IQAC:

The Present Coordinator IQAC Dr. S. D. Ahangar has devised the following functions:
  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks/ parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  2. Facilitating the creation of learner centric environment conductive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  3. Arrangement of feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
  4. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education
  5. Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  6. Documentation of various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.
  7. Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  8. Development and maintenance of institutional database through Management Information System for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing institutional quality.
  9. Development of quality culture in the institution.
  10. Timely Preparation and submission of Annual Quality Assurance Report as per the guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
