Government Degree College (GDC) Uri organized an online seminar on Safer Internet Day on February 11, 2025. The Department of Computer Sciences G D C Uri conducted the seminar via Google Meet to raise awareness about online safety and promote responsible internet usage. The event featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganie H o D Computer Sciences, who discussed current cybersecurity threats and strategies for maintaining digital well-being. Participants, including students and faculty members, engaged in discussions on topics such as managing digital footprints and configuring privacy settings. In his remarks, the college principal, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, emphasized that as responsible citizens, it is crucial to stay informed about online safety, data privacy, and ethical internet use. He further expressed hope that attendees would gain valuable insights on how to protect themselves online, recognize cyber threats, and use the internet responsibly.
